If a recruit is foolish enough to base a decision of this nature on something read on a fan blog or a message board, I'm not sure those are the kinds of kids we want or need anyway.

Couldn't agree any more. Truth is, and to address 1bad post below, don't think he'd not commit because of depth. He can clearly look at tell that Dabo will start a true freshman if they're good enough. Who's his competition? Not Ladsen and Ngata, neither can stay on the field.
So imho just the opposite, he should look at see a ton of opportunity. As much as I hate the tarholes, props to Mack for assembling a recruiting machine. Whether Mack knows what to do with that talent is another discussion.
And no, this has nothing to do with DJ or this year. WRU is taking a hit and it's been slipping since 2018 class.

Couldn't agree more. If I was a high school coach, recruit or parent and read
some of the posts on Tiger net I would seriously steer my son, player away from
Clemson. Especially the bigoted ones I read recently.

Clemson rivals projecting him to UNC. Kind of unusual esp considering the Heels will have their own QB questions next year but possibly our "brand" has suffered this fall. That being said, we do have quite a few WRs coming back next year, albeit a lot who haven't exactly "starred" this year but the depth chart may have scared him away as well. Regardless, need to get the offense back on track in 2022 so that else the "brand" may continue to slip.
