I'm still living rent free in his head I guess, but it's always a pleasure to educate the uneducated......I just want to walk him through how my "calculator works".

For Mikey: Why use Moving Averages? As in business, finance, stocks, sales, life in certain instances. Moving averages help paint the trends by "rounding off" the smaller sharper ups/downs of intermittent timeframes. This takes into account the micro variables day-to-day/hour-to-hour/year-to-year depending on what you're analyzing.........in this case we use 4yr b/c it's a good general depiction of the Classes that make up a football TEAM in college.
4year MA win% of Clemson (showed my work for 2018):
2018: 93% (average 2015, 2016, 2017, & 2018 win%.......which is 93%, 93%, 86%, & 100%) (=(93+93+86+100)/4 = 93%)
2019: 93%
2020: 91%
2021: 88%
2022: 83%
2023: 77%
2024: 74%
2025: 64% (in progress)

He will respond with the red block wins graph again. I mean, it took him 4 hours 32 minutes to create it. Time is money.
I’ve pointed out 13 times how his depiction of the 2020 passing game was not only factually wildly wrong, but also NOT an indication of a WR coach’s ability because ETN ate up 15% of the yardage.
I really should stop but it’s fun to watch him boil over

It is kind of neat to see actual fact based in data on a message board. To be even more factual, postseason sos based on each game, point differentials factored BY the strength of the opponent and a bevy of other factors (recruiting maybe?) would be interesting to see.
But this is a message bored! That stuff would get boring if every poaster did that. So on with the emotional outbursts, false data, woulda shoulda coulda’s and snarky humorous jabs.

man you cant argue with him, he is a paid defender of all things Dabo! he has his head so far up Dabos ### that he cant see the sun shine. He spent the 1st part of season trying to tell us that the defense was fine and that all we lacked was good QB play, now he has been proven so wrong yet he us is still spewing mindless homerism for anything DABO does. He is just special man !

I remember his 2 week tirade earlier in the season of saying "We just need an elite QB and we would win more and be fine." Just completely tone deaf of all the other issues this team has been plagued with.

I love posts based on data. It's the engineer in me I guess. And yes stats can be twisted around to spin whatever it is someone wants to believe. As they say, "figures don't lie, but liars figure."
If you honestly approach data it will tell the story....eventually.
