He ran down the hill several times after games as a kid, had an absolute blast at the games we got to attend together, walked out to the Paw at midfield and all that, but opted to attend Furman instead so he's a Paladin, not a Tiger.
I'll let him know to draft up an apology for soiling the sanctity of the Hill, and I will share it with all of the affected victims of this travesty in due time.

IMO You are way off base as to why some didn't like it. Being on that part of the hill after or during the game is totally different than running down that orange carpet when it's roped off ceremonially before the game.
Mind Boggling why some don't get the tradition.
But we sold out to the Chippendales in yellow and pink baseball unis so the deed is done.

… that the orange carpet is not normally on the hill and that it was put there specifically as an homage and to promote Clemson and our awesome tradition for that broadcast on ESPN that was viewed by millions, right?
IMO the “sanctity” of the run down the hill was kept intact as the rock safely remained in its case and no one was allowed to touch the rock itself before that specific run.
There’s nothing that reinforces and promotes the awesomeness of Clemson’s football history and the tradition of Clemson’s Death Valley than having a nationwide broadcast of the run down the hill especially with Dabo leading the charge!

I’ve done the same. My son is 3 and seemed to have a great time, but I told him he’s pathetic and an embarrassment to our family for liking something as abhorrent as the Savannah Bananas. He has since moved out, and it’s probably for the better.
