Going to golf. To the aquarium. Huntington Beach state park. Brook green gardens. Any other ideas. I will be with my 3 month old and his mother most of the time but with my dad golfing.

Since you sound like you're going to be in and around Litchfield Beach area, you need to eat at the "Eggs Up Grille" seriously love eating their breakfast/brunch food.

Go for Supper at the Gulf Stream cafe. Stay away from the over priced buffets. To get to the Gulf stream Cafe: turn on to Atlantic Ave off 17 business (Garden City) take a right after you cross the causeway (red light). Follow that road till you see Gulf Stream on your right. If you pass the house on the right that looks like a UFO you have gone too far (no lie).
Also, on Atlantic Ave is Sara J's which is also a good place to eat. It used to be better a few years ago but still worth a stop for supper.

If you are staying for a few days the first idea would be don't stay in Myrtle. Check out Surfside, Garden City, Pawlys, North Myrtle or even Cherry Grove. Myrtle beach is a chit hole now and the places I mentioned above are all less than 20 mins from most attractions. Trust me I have a condo in Murells Inlet and spent half my life on the Grand strand.

Dude the boulevard is a very long road in Myrtle Beach-some of the most expensive homes in the state (the Golden mile )are that on road-as well as 40story resorts -as with any city in America they are going to be some lower quality places for people like you to complain about , so just stay home coot

The Murrells Inlet MarshWalk might be fun and loads of restaurants there. Further down the road in Pawleys Island, you have the Hammock Shops if your wife is interested in shopping.

For fun with small child & entire family, I highly recommend a visit to Broadway at the Beach. They have a unique small outdoor Amusement Center with about six low speed rides with Carousel, Train & more...usually not too crowded...also restaurants, shops, & boardwalks ...my favorite place to eat is Prossers at upper end of Murrells Inlet - a local favorite. Also, if strictly great seafood, try The Hot Fish Club at lower end of Murrells Inlet on the marsh...have fun...thumbs up & Blessings

Just got back from golf trip. A lot of the courses are in #### poor shape. Played Blackmoor and its in good shape. Under no circumstance should you play River Oaks, The International or Indigo Creek. All goat tracks at best. After golf go to Bimini's Oyster Bar. By far the best, quick and affordable seafood that isn't a tourist trap. Not really an ideal spot for a 3 yo but go after golf. Oyster shooters there are awesome.

Here is a great website for you that will give you some valuable info on Golf in the Myrtle Beach area from the North Carolina/South Carolina line all the way down to Pawley's Island.I live in Conway and have played a lot of Golf in my lifetime down here at the Beach. One course you might want to play is Myrtlewood's Palmetto and Pine Hills courses...http://www.golfholiday.com/courses/listing.cfm?sortby=name
