Its very difficult to watch womens soccer

unless at the highest level (i.e. USWNT). Men are LEAGUES ahead skill-wise…it’s actually somewhat mind boggling.
I admittedly haven’t watched any Clemson women’s soccer this year, but watching them now, I have no idea how they won any games. Soooo slow.

Why take a shot at the Clemson women's soccer team that made it the final 4 / College Cup?

So you have no knowledge about the team and after just turning on the game decided in your infinite wisdom to take a shot. Got it.

Agree this is tough to watch but not for your reason. FSU has clogged things up defensively, denied us many chances, and has been largely only dangerous on the counter-attack. It's a lot like watching the NJ Devils and " The Trap" in the NHL 20 years ago. Technically proficient, but not very entertaining.
Our girls have played well tonight but have nothing to show for it.

Perhaps I turned it on at an inopportune time for the 7-8 minutes I watched.

Midway through the 2nd, CU down 2-0, FSU was attacking, not counter-attacking. CU couldn’t keep any possession. Kept kicking it away whenever they touched it in our half. FSU stringing together decent passes (on offense). Whenever CU got any control, FSU easily picked it off. CU looked SLOW. Couldn’t run with the ball at all.
I have to assume they were much better than the majority of the competition throughout the season. But this reminded me of middle school soccer.

Yeh, like a JV team.

I don't think you have it wrong, you just missed the 60 minutes of the game that led to that. CU stretched the field out and was overextended by that time. If that's FSU's game, they executed masterfully. We were pinching and leaving half the field for counters and sustained counters. Credit where it's due, FSU played a full 90 and their game wad effective.

I glad for the Clemson women’s team making to the College Cupbut unfortunately they got paired up with the #1 overall seed FSU. I have watched them play a couple times this yea. I just wish one of our women’s teams would beat the Noles.

But to me you can see the tactics even more clearly in the women’s game. I enjoyed watching the women’s World Cup and liked watching Clemson all year this year.

Spain was amazing to watch.
The men’s game has gotten less entertaining to me in recent years. Everything is too much about analytics and micro managing managers now. The magic of the classic players has faded.

I agree. The Tigers are very solid, but some favorable match-ups help to enable this year's run. FSU is far superior athletically. Reminds of Lady Tiger basketball against the coots. From a non soccer guy, FSU is getting to every ball faster and when they kick tbe ball it just moves different. Clemson totally over matched against tbe Noles this year.

Clemson earned a 1-seed. Therefore all matchups are favorable through the Elite 8 by definition.

And absolutely shredded some teams. So it’s def not just us who have issues with their speed. They have multiple women’s World Cup players, including the star player for Jamaica.

I watched because it was Clemson. I have never understood why soccer doesn't do something to increase scoring. Bigger goal or whatever it takes to increase scoring to showcase the better athletes. Oh well, great season by the Tigers.

Do a good job of masking the huge differential between the genders respective sports (Men’s vs Women’s from a spectator’s perspective).
Some women’s sports (swimming, tennis, Golf, Softball) are much better to watch.
Basketball is another sport that can’t hide the huge disparity in talent levels b/t Men and Women. I was JUST informed that the WNBA wouldn’t even exist if it weren’t underwritten by the NBA! That’s how poorly followed Women’s basketball is…
Not a knock on our girls…we clearly live and support them but, it’s just a fact.
