Can someone explain to me exactly what are the purposeful duties are of an offensive "analyst?" From what I read, we have many of them. Do they actually contribute anything useful? Or, are they are necessary as a "portal coordinator?"

I wouldn't do anything that I believed wouldn't be good for Clemson, not even for 100k. If I was to turn the other Cheak on anything that I loved, there would be no way I could even like myself.

I’m sure their usefulness/role varies. Probably some qualified folks doing serious work - informing the coaches about what is what.
Also most likely some “favors” on the staff.

They're the first guys in line of succession for when you need a new Defensive Coordinator and LB coach. It's called thinking outside the box. And we're shocked when our LB's are out of position and don't tackle well.

figure out the trends of the opponent and present those to the coaching staff so they can develop a game plan. Watch film on potential recruits and recommend players. Basically what grad assistants were doing several years back.
