The Trump administration is moving into the Fed's oversight of Wall Street. They stopped short of the Fed's interest rate actions. But we know that part will eventually come when the Fed doesn't do something exactly how he wants.

This will end badly, folks. The last time a president tried to step too far onto the Fed's turf, it was Nixon, and it led directly to stagflation.

Thanks for the link, but it still says I have to create an account to read it. Here's a link that works without making an account:

I love how news is consumed today. People get news from spin, and then

never actually go to the source. And the article published with the spin, has no LINK TO THE SOURCE FOR THE FREAKING ARTICLE. Nothing liberal or conservative or pub or dem about this, just dumbness I guess. What kind of newspaper writes an article about something, without acknowledging the source. And WHO IS OK with reading spin about something, without ever reading THE SOMETHING? Again, not a hit on the WAPO. EVERYONE does this and it really ticks me off.

Even during covid, you'd get some BS article about some study saying the study said this and that, and then you search, FIND the actual study, read it, only to learn the article about the study, that never linked to the study, was total BS. And people RAN with this. RFKJr did this repeated, almost obsessively, on his Children's Health Defense website. And people believed every article on his website, which never linked to the studies they talked about.

ANYWAY....Here is the text of the EO, in case anyone cares. And yes, it is unconstitutional.

Trump learned that the constitution is just a piece of paper.

Do you think that SCOTUS ruling against him will stop his praetorian regime?

No clue. My point is completely separate from Trump

Well, technically it isn't, but anyway....people read a "news" story about SOMETHING, and they never actually care to go read the SOMETHING. And they just blindly accept whatever they see written ABOUT something, without ever thinking to go to the source.

Goes back to that TLDNR post about the history course/professor, and the poli sci course with Dr. Ransom. We are living the results of the world the history professor feared, and that WAPO article is just an example. NO REASON there shouldn't be a link to the EO in the article. I started reading the article and literally stopped when I scanned to the end and never saw the EO linked. Shitcanned the entire thing. If you think you have a valid point that stands, then LINK the EO for people to read. otherwise I will consider everything BS. May be, may not be. I read some. I read the EO and it's probably unconstitutional, in parts anyway. Certainly worth a lawsuit.

OK, try not to have too much of a meltdown over whether the WaPo....

linked to the EO. Geez man.

I've read other sources about the topic. Calling the Fed off the beat will not serve the interests of financial stability in the country. In fact, it will probably be a contributor to a future financial crash (not saying when that occurs, but just that it will be a problem).
