All this talk of Oklahoming or Michiganing or whatever...

It seems rather childish. We all know how much every Clemson fan hated our term. And it took us 6 years of 10 plus win seasons and a national championship to shake it off.
Why are we trying to put a term on another fan base that will stick to them and torture them? We all know how difficult it is to win every week in college football. Every week ranked teams lose to unranked teams... and that's what makes college football so great.
Can we just be happy we don't have to live with that stupid term anymore and stop trying to pass it off on another fan base? TIA

I don’t think it is about trying to make that term stick to them as it is pointing out that every team loses games. Why just pick on CLEMSON when especially recently it is extremely rare for us.

The "word" just came up yesterday on the Gameday broadcast

... in reference to the potential dangers that playing a team like Wake posed for The Tigers ... how these types of games once lead to "Clemson1ng"
Well, now they can lead to "Soonering" or "Wolverineing" or what ever.
I don't give a rip which other school or program takes up the mantle.
It's time for equitable distribution of the descriptor. We've served out time.

They did mention it.

Which is very disrespectful considering our last 6 years. But if our fans go on social media and post it about other teams.. what do you think those fans will do the first time we actually do lose a game we shouldn’t? They will post it everywhere.

He is something like .900 against all other teams.

Yeah but a 31.5 point favorite? Deserves it's own new original term. How about Fizzle-Sooner ?

It's just cheap and should be beneath a Clemson fan, imo. Imo, it was almost a cheap as dancing around and planting your flag on someone else's field, writing your name on their logo or spitting on their logo. It's disrespectful to other teams which shows poor sportsmanship, disrespectful to your team and disrespectful to your parents and yourself.
Yes, every year we see the poll rankings fail. That is part of having preseason polls because everyone who votes is guessing based on half a dozen variables which are totally unreliable.

We do have to live with "that term" as I heard it twice yesterday on ESPN Gameday.

I don't get offended by ESPN like some. So I like having fun using it on the Sooners.

about the college students playing the game think it's appropriate to demean a program like that. It was BS when it was Clemson and it's BS for other programs. ESPN looks like a bunch of DB's sitting around laughing at teams like that.
It's college sports. Sometimes the underdog wins...often in fact. ESPN needs to up their game.

idiots. They make broad sweeping claims about OU being the end all to end all then become embarrassed from their predictions. Imo, it's the self loathing which causes such to lash out.

It is not fair or right to do what the media started with us. Why would we think it is ok to do it to others. I have seen entirely too much negativity and finger pointing. Be better than that.

The lack of depth of common sense and common

decency of the brain-dead nitwits who coined and persist in using the term(s) never ceases to amaze me.
Then again, we're largely speaking of moronic imbeciles who thrive on hearing their own voices.
Thus, you are correct, my Friend.
