Seems like Bill O-Reilly has some really good books out like Killing the Mob, Killing Crazy Horse, killing all kinds of things and people. I read killing the mob. Was pretty good.

I don't have as much time as I had before to read, but what are yall reading.

I was on a bit of a Western kick recently.

Butcher's Crossing was very good (though slow in parts). Fair Land, Fair Land was ok, but the weakest of that series.

The Napoleon of Notting Hill was unlike any other books I've read. I don't know if that is a good thing or not. Very odd but thought provoking.

I just wrapped up "Can We Trust the Gospels" by Peter Williams. I would recommend it if you are interested in that sort of thing. It is very accessible. Last night I started Clash of Orthodoxies. It may become a skim book.

is a story about two sisters during the German occupation of France, based on a true story.

I give it 9 out of 10.

Really riveting trials and tribulations from developmental years, presented in a lighthearted, comedic style.

The Boxchar Children series. It's a little sophisticated for him, but I see it as an opportunity for growth.

soft we are now. Not toting cattle miles without water in sight, no food for a few days, fighting injuns and rustlers - pretty sure I would have died of dysentery a few miles in...

very interesting (and long/comprehensive) about the 4 quadrants of 17/18 century British settlers in early America and the "folk ways" that they brought over:
- East England: Puritans (new england)
- South England: Cavaliers (virginia)
- West England: Friends (Delaware)
- North England & Borderlands/Scots (Appalachia)

Yes, books are better

honestly I don't remember the books going into Joe's childhood at all as far as his abusive father etc. Nate is much more of a badass in the books. He is much more likeable and more of an "everyday Joe" so you find yourself rooting for him more.

The whole falcon thing, it gets more play in the books, and I think it is kind of hokey, but not enough to dissuade me from enjoying them.

I've been reading the picture book of Mopar installation
