TAMU ‘22 Recruiting woes?

Oct 25, 2022, 10:57 PM

Thought these rumors were interesting and worth sharing. Maybe oil money and NIL deals don’t solve all problems, especially not culture problems…

TAMU leadership MUST be digging through anything/everything they can find to get out of that ridiculous contract they gave Fisher....

Go Tigers!!!

If that's true then dang...not sure why he wouldn't have them arrested. It's not like things can get much worse there.

Agreed

Either the report is slightly exaggerated or Jimbo needs to walk. That’s insane.

Shouldn't be too hard to beat a team who just doesn't give a crap.

the types of things that will become more commonplace from the abject foolish lack of leadership within the NCAA over those transfer portal and NIL rules, the latter of which was dealt with in the Supreme Court rather than within the NCAA.

Secondly, every collegiate athletic contract should include a performance clause, which in TAMU's case, would give them an out from that ridiculous buyout. Why anyone in right mind would believe that character deserves a frigging penny (if the dumpster fire is raging, as alleged) beats the fire out of me.

He left the culture in FSU in shambles. Doing the same at A&M. Five stars won’t matter if you have bad culture.

As they continue to lose, the chaos will continue. By December (or when the portal window opens), the other SEC teams, among other others, will be will be picking their recruits a part like vultures. Jimbo cheated and scammed his way to a Natty at FSU, turning his head to serious player issues for the sake of winning. He left FSU in shambles, and convinced A&M he could win a title for them while showing off his new Natty ring. A&M’s AD and Administration bought the smoke and mirrors, hook, line and sinker. They themselves were blind sided in the goal to win it all. They seriously overpaid and are scrambling to find a way out of the contract they signed. Time doesn’t hide a fool and A&M’s boat is sinking fast.

Interesting. I wonder if they are trying to get Jimbo to quit to avoid the buyout? How does the contract work if he just resigns? I bet its less than $80 million. NIL backers may be paying the players to act up just to avoid the bigger bill from firing him.

Jimbo ain’t gonna quit if it means he gives up $80 million US dollars.

It'll be interesting to see where some of these "problem

I recall numerous TNetters mocking the Clemson culture during the time TA&M had the checkbook open last off-season.

Where are they now?
