My thoughts on Bama

We shut down 2 of the best backs in the SEC (Mike Davis and Gurley) and possibly the best back in the nation (Andre Williams).
I trust our Defense to play well in that game and if our offense can execute and take care of the ball I think it would be a decent game. No one gave us a chance to beat LSU either.
There's no doubt in my mind that we were the better team on the field sat. night, we just crapped the bed with the opportunities we had.
I'm looking forward to that matchup. Just wish we had some better gameday coaching to go along with it.

So maybe not destroy, but I think we could beat them 4 out of 10 times.

auburn only ran 68 plays; 52 of them rushes. they tried to play contain against jonnyfoosball, they won't have that respect for tajh's mobility.
malzahn only sped things up when a play gained more than a certain number of yards; he paced his team very well. and he ran the ball with a true read option qb.
bama will come from every angle at tajh; it'll be lsu part deaux from a pressure standpoint.
i don't think bama is as talented across the dline as lsu was though.

Also Bama's DL is solid but they aren't great at the pass rush. I think it will be hard to run on them but Tajh should get time to throw and as we've seen for the past few years Bama has a severe problem against spread teams.

Shut them down so bad all the ESPN analyst were saying VT woukd be good this year and had one of the best defenses in the country.
As long as we don't fall completely apart like our last two losses, I think we can beat anyone in the country.

capable of hanging with Alabama, or if the stars align, beating them. I think LSU from last year is a very good comparison. Having said that, if we show up and half-a$$ it, then they would certainly destroy us.

they are good but not unbeatable. if we bring it we can be fine. would make an interesting match up
