Aggressiveness

I heard a caller on Deptula's show yesterday talking about our S&C vs. SCAR's S&C. What he said had merit to me. He talked about just looking at the two teams on the field. Because we both recruit the same type of players, he wanted to point out that SCAR's players looked stronger with less fluff than our players do. I have to, unfortunately,agree with that. Batson may get awards for his conditioning regimens but his product looks inferior complared to SCAR's. My main question though is about how do you teach aggressiveness? How do you teach the "will to dominate". Do we have a team psychologist? Where has the "we won't be denied" attitude gone at CU. My opinion is a man who refuses to be denied can't be stopped. We need something else to get our Tigers over the top, maybe its a S&C change maybe its a mental change. What do ya'll think?

I'm 39 years old and remember when Clemson was the team that imposed their physical will on others, dominated the line, smacked you in the mouth. WHEN did we concede that to SC and WHY? Tommy Bowden is the answer, he started building a "finesse team" of smaller faster OL etc. Makes me sick to see this continue. I think the key to turning this around starts new years eve and with the last two and next recruiting defense classes. I think about this topic often...I loathe being called a finess or skill player team. ITS FOOTBALL!

If this was the same old Scar teams

Then people would be talking about how Dabo has our team back to punching people in the mouth and being tough. There has not been a Clemson coach to ever face 3 Scar teams in a row that were this good. I am not including the '09 Scar team in that. This year Clowney beat his man a lot but nobody else got manhandled as so many on here suggest. We averaged 6 yards per carry in the first half!!! How much more do you need to call it physically whipping somebody? We ran out of depth on defense and couldn't get off the field.
