Again, revenue sharing won't affect NIL at all.

Revenue sharing is the schools paying athletes directly with money they make from ticket sales and TV contracts.
NIL is a private deal between an athlete and a sponsor. The NCAA can't regulate that or interfere with it in any way.
The article tries to conflate two different things.
The big NIL schools will still have the offset from those that don't have that.

Yes it will. There can still be NIL but it would need to be approved by an independent clearing house meaning a player can’t get a million bucks for using their pic on a billboard

The article you cited even there says that legal experts and NIL collectives "remain skeptical that the NCAA will be able to effectively (and legally) prevent boosters from spending money aimed at making their teams better." What we're going to see is NIL boosters continuing to offer money. If the NCAA tries to stop them, they'll sue. Kavanaugh's opinion was pretty explicit here.

Good call it what it is “pay for play” and cap the teams.
The whole deal will of course need an overhaul to get that last part accomplished.

Love how you now call it a sponsor. Does not sound much like Name, image or likeness. Wake up Bluff, your Supreme Court ruling has ZERO to do with what is happening.

The SCOTUS decision is one of several things that collectively say that the NCAA can't interfere with private NIL. Period.
What anyone thinks was the supposed intent isn't pertinent.
What is happening us that the NCAA is trying to muddy the waters by conflating revenue sharing with potential school sponsored NIL and private NIL in another backdoor way to get some control over private NIL.
That has already backfired in them.
The settlement in the House vs NCAA case has been out on hold by the federal judge in Cali partially due to that. Partially because the involved athletes are talking about the NCAA claiming they have the right to decide what is "legitimate" NIL. (They don't).
Another issue about that clause in the settlement conflicts with the injunction in the Tennessee/Virginia vs NCAA case, which is 100% about private NIL. Federal judges don't like to go against other federal judges when non-ideological issues are involved. Too easy to get overturned on appeal and embarrassed that way.
The bottom line is that the NCAA is trying to confuse the issue. Don't fall for it, don't believe it, and if you bet, get against them getting ANY control over a business deal between two other private entities.

Valley everyone understands NIL. It’s the pay for play with NIL facades that everyone has twisted up. Totally separate. NIL is a good thing but the lack of competitive integrity has brought up other issues like tampering and some wanting to RS because they want more money. 2 that we know of in the last month.
It’s sad, you are correct, but not for the reason you state.

Wrong. Revenue sharing is how colleges will pay players directly. Players still have the rights over their own names, images, and likenesses and can negotiate their own endorsement contracts.
