The loudest mouths on Tnet were calling for his head just a month or so ago and I've yet to see any one of them come here and apologize to Wes or those of us who tried to make them understand that when you put any defense on the field as often as we have ours they are going to give up yards and point.

TOP is a fundamental basic element in the success of a defense. For two years now our defenses have taken the ball from our opponents and place it in the hand of those unable to produce.

The truth is somewhere in the middle. Wes has grown quite a bit this season. Some of his scheming and personnel choices earlier in the year were questionable. Nobody can honestly deny that.

Dabo knew this when he promoted Wes---he would have to do some learning as the season progressed. He has. He deserves to come back next year, IMO.

The one area where he still needs to improve is LB coaching. We got spoiled by Brent. He was the Jedi Master of LB coaches.
