After last Saturday's games I was jokingly asking about VT.

The question was, "Will VT make it to the championship game in Charlotte?"

I looked at their schedule. They don't play Clemson, Duke or UNC.

I said it as a joke. When the season started most folks had them picked in the bottom 3 of the ACC. When they started the season losing OOC games - Purdue, Rutgers, Marshall - folks were saying the coach may not make it through the season before he was fired. (I have a friend who is a VT grad and big fan. He told me how upset the fan base was.)

Before last nights game, I actually saw two internet sources talking about how VT was still alive and had the easiest schedule of all the teams with one loss in the ACC.

I don't think they will run the table. They still play BC and Louisville. But, wouldn't it be a hoot if they did make it to Charlotte?

Just one more reason for FSU and Clemson to leave this conference ASAP.

Well, I picked Louisville this week to beat Duke. As you stated, favorable schedule. Hence next weeks game between va tech and Louisville could easily be the deciding 2nd acc team. Either way, Louisville or va tech. I think we beat unc.

Say it's Louisville. They could get embarrassed by Kentucky and limp into the championship game. Acc wheel of destiny, right.

Ha. Since the Tigers are # 8 in conference right now hard to keep saying anything bad about the strength of the ACC.

There will likely be 2 teams with 2 losses and the new tiebreaker will be in effect the first year. It won't matter because none of them can beat the Noles.

The ACC just gets more disappointing to me by the year, and the games get harder for me to watch. I cannot think of a single ACC championship game matchup that would interest me. If UNC learned to play good defense, then UNC vs. FSU might be the one exception.

This is why conferences are doing away with divisions in the Championships. Right now Iowa's nonexistent offense will likely play in the B1G championships against Michigan or OSU.

I was gonna say something similar. Have you guys seen the B1G West? Its a joke. At least for now. I think Wisconsin and Nebraska turn it around. No divisions after this year. But man is the West terrible.
