After last nights game

I'm not so optimistic as I was about the Coot game. Except for our D the rest of the team is not playing well. I just hope the D and DW will be enough?

DW will be able to complete a higher percentage of passes that result in points. We won't have a running game though.
Our D will do its job. We'll be fine.

DW will make

the running game more effective. The defense will have to account for him more than for Cole. Our offense will be much better because of his dual threat ability.
The coots have been able to score but I think we can hold them to 17 to 21 points. We just need to score about 24 points and I think we win. Hope I'm right.
DW will also have a couple of games back under his belt before that game to get back into things. I think we will be okay against the Dirtpeckers....

The D is for real but they have not really faced any great Os this year. UNC and UGA put up big numbers and as bad as the Coot D is they may have the best O we will see this season.

SEC Defnenses. As crappy as Wake is on Offense, they're still ranked about 40 on defense.

We get back DW, maybe peak, some of the OL and now Dye is

Playing. The D has been stellar. If we can't do it this year, then we are just a sad little team. But for those reasons that I mentioned, we roll the coots

The other key of course

is to take care of the football and not turn it over against them as we have done the last few years. With the D, DW, and winning the turnover battle we will win.

Some people here will have you believe that having DW back

will instantly fix our offensive woes.
While I hope they are right, I strongly disagree.

I agree. I don't think he instantly fixes all the issues but he more of a dual threat that has to make us at least a little more effective.

I think not playing tough Ds will help as well

UL, BC and Wake are all top 40 defenses. We won't see another of them this year. Sc's D is porous and they can't get a lot of pressure on opposing QB which is bad when your secondary is horrible.

Let's at least admit that USuCks talent level on D is better

Than what we have faced in the past 4 weeks( other than maybe UL). They may not be playing well, but they are physically more talented. They will always get up for us. We are their SEASON at this point. The difference this year is that they are playing poorly as a team. Also, with DW back, the face and approach of our O is completely different. A mobile/ deep ball QB keeps the LB honest, which prevents the D from loading the box, opening up the running game. The w hole thing morphs into something else. We all saw what happened from the time that he went down. If he and the team is healthy, we win

Maybe it's just, they don't have any faith in Cole and that's bringing the Os play down. With DW they all play better because the chance of a big play and the ball getting to them increases. IDK but you are right it's going to take some stepping up as a whole.

We did lose some more pieces since then

Guillermo got hurt, Gore got hurt, Norton got even more banged up and is playing one-armed, Choice goes down, Legget went down (and came back rusty and unable to catch Stoudt's erratic passing), and I've probably forgotten some others.

Watson would have had at least 450 yards against WF. Would have made a huge difference. He can make the downfield throws that Stoudt can't

SC is a team that keeps finding ways to lose.
With the game being at home, I don't see us dropping to the Gamecocks. I think there's a higher chance we fall to GT on the road next week with Watson shaking off the rust.

I disagree. After last nights game, I will be so happy to get Watson back. He gives our TEAM the extra confidence that makes everyone better. Also, after seeing Dye first carry last night I would start him the remainder of the season. He and Choice are our only RB's who actually look like a D1 back. If DW and Dye are healthy and play against the coots. We win easily. I could see us hanging 40 plus on those ###### bags.
Keys to victory: 1. Pressure coot QB.. he is always good for a couple of int's. 2. Do not turn the ball over. 3. Chad Morris: don't over think things if something is working, stick with it.
NOW Everyone calm down and bet the house on the Tigers. We will roll the coots !
