Media hyping FSU OL like they're the 87 Redskins...

Sep 18, 2014, 12:24 PM

I don't see it.

Matias, Hart, and Erving are all solid, but the 2012 Bama OL they are not.

The only question is if they are better than our D line***

These same exact lines faced off last year

Minus their center.

Who was considered to be the leader of their OL, and one of the best in the nation. Plug in another center, and you still face the loss of that commanding leadership that Bryan Stork gave FSU's OL last year!!! Already in their first two games, FSU has felt the loss of Stork.

may actually be better

than the 2014 Redskins OL.

That OL absolutely steamrolled us last year

Sep 18, 2014, 12:29 PM

What do you not get? I love my Tigers, but I am very worried about how our same DL will face up against this same OL that whooped them last year.

Venables is going to have to figure something else out, I don't want to see what I saw last year. We couldn't even get close to touching Crab Legs.

We did not get one sack last year. Winston had all day.***

I couldn't watch the second half. Complete lack of push

Even if the offense had one of their good days, we were screwed. You can't beat Crab Legs when he has five minutes to decide where to put the ball.

I hate it and I hate FSU, but that OL is good. Hopefully Venables can prepare them better this year. The offense didn't help them out last year, but I still think the D lost that game for us, even with all of the offensive turnovers. You just can't beat them without QB pressure. Period the end.

3 sacks by CU

I think the D kept us in the game early and there were a lot of questionable holding no-calls through my orange-tinted glasses but no doubt they have the best O-line we'll play all year. Including USuCk.

Do you remember how those sacks happened, though?

Sep 18, 2014, 1:12 PM

JW got comfortable scrambling and more or less ran into them and out of his protection. They had little to do with us beating the OL.

I love our guys, but what I saw last year really worries me for this year. They have no doubt improved, but I wonder if the same is true for FSU's OL.

The truth do sometimes hurt. But I do believe our D will show up and play what could be our best defensive play this season b/c of some of the comments made by JW Raper. That's what I'm hoping for anyway. This will be our same defensive line from last year that shouldn't have to worry as much about trying to keep everything directly in the front of them b/c of the weakness of our secondary. I would also like to see BV put in a few defensive schemes with Beastly dropping back or even lining up as a LB. I'm thinking that with his speed and quickness, he could get into the back field barely touched from the LB position. Beastly Vic Beasley in a LB position package or not???

Actually, no. The defense held up well in 1st half.

Actually, no. The defense held up well in 1st half. Yet again a complete inability for the offense to give the defense a breather hurt us tons.

Yet another reason to defer.***
