My question: why don’t we see women attempt to play on men’s teams?

If a woman was good enough to play for a Clemson men's team then they should play there. It's the main, varsity team of the university.

Not really a "main" team. One may be more popular than the other, but there are two divided for biological/physical/performance reasons.
One does not belong on the other for safety reasons.

It's mostly about winning the trophy. Men playing as women, win the trophy in whatever sport while women playing as men do not.

I probably don’t agree with any of Dawn Staley’s political views, but I have personally witnessed Staley doing things to help someone in the family when no one was looking. She is a very caring person.
I’m sure she’s a far better person than you and probably me too.
She has political ideas I don’t support, but she’s not a sick person. She’s in fact a very good person.

If I’m trying to be a woman so I can get into a womens dressing room it sure won’t be womens lesbiana basketball dressing rooms. I’m trying out for cheerleading where the women look much better and don’t prefer each other
