Intel is putting a $20+ billion factory in Columbus, and massively expanding the one they have in Arizona. They should get ahead of TSMC again and would have if they hadn't gotten complacent.

Now the roles seem to have flipped...and it's TSMC sitting on their hands while Intel innovates furiously.

Add in the supply-chain issues TSMC is likely to face and I'd put my money in even the medium term on Intel.
