A few things that have grown too old to still be in sports

Dec 22, 2012, 2:58 PM

(and woohoo is not to be included)

in Football, the gatorade bath

the burnout in NASCAR

in Golf shouting "get in the hole "

holding up the index finger in any sport

Still playing "2001 a space idiocy"

Any others ?

I can't stand holding up the number 1 finger, especially because most teams aren't number one.

you can throw in Stuart Scott too….

Dec 22, 2012, 4:20 PM [ in reply to Re: Chris Berman*** ]

When is Stuart Scott going to realize he is pushing 50, and that it isn't 1988. If you want to hear 20 year out dated hip hop slang, Stuart Scott is your man.

because holding up digitus secondus means we're number #1

Dec 22, 2012, 3:41 PM

and we can't have that in the wussification process of murica?

i wish we'd raise the mound back to it's original height, give the pitcher back the inside corner and go back to reminding guards the paint is where big boys come to play.

Dec 22, 2012, 4:37 PM

also, the "over-rated" chant. Bothe are way overplayed and annoying.

NFL players dancing like children when they score, get a first down, or make a tackle. Why are they allowed, yet college and high school KIDS aren't?

the whole team holding up 4 fingers when its the 4th quarter (c'mon, really?)

there are many more that will come to me - those are immediate first thoughts.

I don't think the burnout in NASCAR is over done. There isn't much that a car can do to celebrate.
