The bowls were great and I watched way too many. But a few things --
The refs really need to define what gestures are ok and which ones are not, the mere fact we argue whether thumbs were up or down and the difference between superman and throat slash is ridiculous. Not just the Orange Bowl, but in a couple of games, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and last night there were questionable calls, FSU gets the flag while Tre Mason does not, Was the spike and Heisman pose not excessive or taunting? Let em go or don't but things are to vague right now.
You could watch games for years and not see 2 sideline infraction penalties, obviously somehow someone made that ref mad and he was going to make Clemson pay. I have never seen a 1st down awarded for a sideline infraction, that could have had a major impact that late. It is called discretion refs.
Musberger was an idiot in the 2nd quarter, he got caught up in the hype, Herbie did a good job of bringing it back to some sort of balance in the booth. The thought that a team can show up and win because of the conference patch on their jersey is dumb. Musberger was ready to give the trophy to Auburn, and was giddy when those fans were chanting SEC, he has seen enough football to know there are 4 quarters, but he was so blinded by the SEC that he thought there was no way they could lose.
I think Mus is about done. When he says in the intro he's Kirk Herbstreit I think it is time for him to go. I'm sure some lackey can incessantly fawn over the SEC just as well
