Where were you...?
I was a senior at Clemson headed to my early class on a cat bus when the first plane hit. Oblivious to the world. Praying for those who lost loved ones. Never forgotten.

Was in the office when the guy at the desk next to me told me about the first plane hitting. Seemed, at the time, it was a massive accident. Almost every online news source began to crawl under the strain as the second plane hit was being reported. We couldn't get any online news, but he had a little AM/FM radio which we listened to for 10 or so minutes before the office manager walked in and just told everyone to go home. I walked home and spent the rest of the morning and day watching TV coverage and sharing thoughts and news with folks on Tigernet in TAC.

I was on a job site when one of my construction guys heard on his radio that a plane had been blown into the WTC. Seems there was a storm off the coast at the time. It was inconceivable that anyone would deliberately fly a plane into a building. We went someplace to find a TV just when the second plane hit.

At that time, we were also working on a project in Maine. I was shocked when I heard that one of the planes flew out of Portland. My boss was actually supposed to go up that day when he phoned me that his flight had been cancelled. Anytime I had made a site visit to that job, that would have been my morning flight out to NY, then to RDU. It is something I often think about.
