Can you get us all caught up to speed on what you call members of the Big 12? For instance:
UGA = leg humper
UNC = tar hole
Chicken = coot

I will tell you now, that will not go over well. That and the Basketball murders are big no-nos. You can talk about them, but using them in jest is something that only the lowest (and recently departed member) fanbase has done.
It would be the akin to mentioning the bonfire collapse at TAMU as a joke.
Just giving you fair warning. The fanbase will jump all over thing like that. Most everything else is fair game though.

I figured, I just mentioned it as something I had heard. I would liken it to Mizzou's Quantrill references. Pretty low, but worth mentioning in this discussion for the reasons you just mentioned.

Haha it has less to do with being an ag school and more to do with making fun of Texas A&M Aggies.
The nicknames are a play on the idea that the school or fanbase is reminiscent of TAMU's (typically stereotyped in Texas culture as weird, or foolish, or stupid, or lacking in common sense) and such association is considered an insult (a light hearted one).
But I'm sure we will find a good one for Clemson.

Sorry, had to feed the kids.
So this really depends on who you are talking to and what team you are talking about.
KSU = Grapes or Little Brother(this is specific to Jayhawk fans though) or Mildcats.
ISU = Boo (LOL, I really love the Cyclones, great group of fans - you guys will like them - but they boo everything)
OU = Looners, Spooners, etc.
UT = Uterus (this one is Universal, everyone calls them UTerus because the Longhorn looks like a Uterus)
OSU = Pokes (Not really derogatory, they call themselves that) or Aggie (used to be OA&M)
To be honest, I dont give much though to the Texas schools. UT get special consideration because they are, well, Texas, but Im a Big 8 guy, I grew up on the Big 8 and I relate to them much more.
Missouri we have a host of names for, most not appropriate in polite conversation but Mootard and Slavers are still popular.
