How many years will a National Championship victory satisfy you?

I say at least 10 years, until I want or eagerly desire another one. I'm in my early 30's and have never seen us win a natty. I wasn't alive in 1981, so this would be a first for me. I remember Auburn winning the title for the 2010 season, and here we are 6 years later, with Clemson setting up nicely for a National Championship. The reason I ask is because I'm sure Aub fans are getting restless wanting another title too since that was their first one in decades, kind of like our situation. Is this comparison accurate, with us to AU? Of course, I want to win the natty every year, but this just popped in my head, for how long this would make me happy!

Apparently, through basketball season, but I'm still happy we won in football, so is the National Championship gonna carry us thru basketball and baseball? Not trying to flame. Serious inquiries.

At this rate, I would expect to play in another one in less than 5 years.
Just because we win, we can't settle for mediocrity going forward, and I for one will not.
We should honestly be back in two to three years after replacing Watson.
Just my 2 cents, but I will rub it in the coots face for at least the next 30.

Myself I only wanted one in my adult life. But now that I see how our program is doing, I can only imagine that I will expect more after that. But for Deshaun and company they've done so much, they deserve this and hope they go out and earn it for themselves. Go Tigers!

If we win it and then were to drop back into an 8-4 regular mediocrity then it wouldn't last me as long.
If we are in the conversation most years, make the ACCCG at least once every 3 or so years, and make a New Year's 6 bowl of CFP game every 3 or so years it would be helpful.

the correct answer is......until SCAR wins one

the 81 Championship has done us all very well over the decades. I was fortunate enough to be a Clemson student at the time. It trumped UGA's from the year before, which was nice. The UGA rivalry has waned since sadly, but it was BIG TIME back then, maybe even bigger than the Clemson-USC rivalry. You young'uns will sadly never know the hatefest that was Clemson-UGA.
Another one would be incredible as well, and will last us for many years.
With ONE, and only one caveat ---- If SCAR won it next year (I know, LOL), we would need another one immediately. The satisfaction would totally be erased.

Well then, if that is the criteria, a championship Monday night should hold us over for eternity.

It won't be another 35 years. That said, I compare our current situation with the 80s.

Had there been no UNC and UGA-incited probations we likely would have won another during the decade of the 80s. Heck, if we'd had Danny for 1990/91 would could have won one then.
I'll be happy if we never win another, but I'd say we can expect another within the next 5-10 years, likely sooner if all our declared studs get in and pan out as planned.

We should expect to be a contender every year that's what elite programs do. Of course we're not going to win the NC every season but 1 every 10 years should happen.

I'm greedy, I want another one soon! I want the Tigers to have more of them than anyone else in the ACC. So we need 1 more to tie and 2 to go ahead provided they don't get another one any time soon.

We need 3 more to tie and 4 to take the lead. Miami has 5 and if they weren't so dang overconfident they would have 9.

It will hold me for a few years as I think about it now. But when football season starts again I'm thinking we need to in the NCG in a year or 2.
