Snow came early if not the gales this year. I’m 30 min from Lake Michigan (not Superior) and I’m looking at over 6” of lake effect snow. And while no Chippewa we do have casinos run by the Potawatomi.

Now I’m going to go put on some Lightfoot.

I never realized the song came out the year after the sinking. I just assumed it had happened years before. Well, I do try to learn something new every day so that will be today’s lesson.

One of my favorite songs, and had Gordon Lightfoot not written it, the fate of the crew of the Edmund Fitzgerald would barely be a footnote in history. They are immortalized because of his song.
