I say it would take three for any eSECpn team. Two for anyone else. What you say ?

Yup, I already read or heard some hack say a 3 loss SEC team could still get in. Laughable

The number is not as important as their standing...

... in the SEC. SEC will get at least 4 teams (including the conference champ) in the playoffs. Mayy get five, depending on how B1G and ND fare.
So, UGA needs to be the 5 or even 6th ranked SEC team at the end of the season to be left out.
To keep rooting for UGA, or any particular SEC team, just keep asking, "How many SEC teams are ranked ahead of them?"

The NCAA will never let that happen again which is the reason for 12 playoff teams.

well ESPN never recognizes SEC losses as losses. Hence why I hope for them to lose to an ACC team

It is not out of the question for the winner of the SEC Championship to have 3 losses because of how the schedules work out.

As eSECpn likes to say, it's not the most deserving. It's "the best." And they say who's best. Repeatedly. The conference they bought is always the "best."

Short of them having major injury issues, I don't see them missing playoffs.

They would have to take 3 or more losses to drop outside of the top twelve IMO.

It wouldn't surprise me if a half dozen losses for an SEC team for them to be counted out of the playoffs!!!
