4 Simple Reasons to Leave the ACC

1) We fill our stadium 90% no matter who we are playing. Wouldn't it be 100% if we were playing Oklahoma or Texas instead of BC?
2) Travel is by plane most of the time anyway. As some who travels to TX a lot, I can tell you it doesn't take any more time than traveling to MD.
3) Football is money. The ACC is shafting us when we bring in the TV $ AND we have to turn over 100% of our bowl money to the ACC. Dook is laughing at us all the way to the bank.
4) As TDP pointed out, where is the Southwest Conference now. The ACC is dying. Why die with them when it serves no purpose?

One more, and this needs to be explained to those who scold us with tales of tradition and loyalty, is that we and FSU must, MUST, be able to compete with SEC teams to win. The SEC is raking in the money, and when UF and Usuc go year after year with millions more in income, it will make it harder to get the coaches and the recruits.
We must play on a big stage and make big bucks.
Plus, the ACC is run by jerks, and I can't wait to point and laugh at them when they become the Big East.

Yes! And we have that opportunity with Auburn, SoCar and Georgia on the schedule the next few years.
We CANNOT lose to SoCar again. I live near Columbia and listening to the jerks on the radio today is insufferable (yes, I turned it off). They think they were a vastly superior team when they lost to the same Auburn team that we beat. We must beat them this year - and Auburn would be nice too.

Funny how for number 1 you say Oklahoma or Texas and use BC.
The ACC has Virginia Tech & Florida State to go with your Oklahoma & Texas in terms of stadium filling. The Big XII still has it's BC's, Duke's, & Wake Forest's.

Yep. The Big XII has just as many, if not more, terrible programs than the ACC.

i don't think dook could beat a team that has a legitimate shot at the mnc game,as iowa state did this past year.isu may be bad, but i don't think they are as bad as the dookies

To say the least. We have to compete with the SEC teams who are bringing in money hand over fist, the ACC had shown that they do not care about football, and adding in trips to Syracuse and Pitt would cost as much as traveling to Texas or Oklahoma, not to mention the same trip to Tallahassee and WVU and UMD are almost equidistant. The ACC is a sinking ship so we can save ourselves and go elsewhere or die with it. It's time to make a change
