I've thought about getting another vehicle for me, but I don't care for the idea of always having to jockey cars around and going out to buy a fast car right now would be unwise.

policies provide for free or $50 replacement. I think it was even mandatory in AZ--seems like I cracked a windshield every one of the 9 years I was out there, because that's how deserts be like.

you keep them that long and you either need to replace the windshield or want tooo.
my Honda has so many tiny chips that I wish something would put a big enough crack/hole in it to warrant replacement

cracked. That thing was pitted all to hell and had one big scratch where I let the person at Advance Auto install new blades and they didn't take a piece of plastic off. I was mad about that, but I had to live with being mad at myself since it was a couple weeks after I found out the hard way.

2 car before that, also 250K miles. 1 car before that, also 250K miles.
Seems to be an increasing trend over time. Either windshields are getting crappier, or our roads are getting crappier, or both?
