Well that didn't go the way any of us wanted it to. Overall, this team overachieved IMO. Still a good season by any measure. The highs were high and the lows were low. Personally I enjoyed every minute of the season, some more than others obviously. It was a rare treat to have them come play close enough to our place for me and the kiddo to go see them opening weekend. He was disappointed in the outcome of the season but said "Dad this team was really cool, they were all very nice to me when we met them in person and they all took the time to sign my hoodie!". I read some posts, likely out of frustration, that this team just didn't want to be there. It may have looked that way, but I guarantee you they didn't want to go out like that. It just happens. Coach Bakich did a heck of a job with this roster and I am excited to see what next season brings. I don't know coach Bakich personally, but my read on him is that he doesn't like to lose so I am betting that he finds some guys.

The ending was obviously disappointing, but at the same time, we did win 40+ games, host a regional, and were a game short of the ACC regular season and tournament championships. There are definitely some issues we need to fix, but all we can do is hope we find some quality players in the portal, develop the guys we currently have, and hope we stay healthy
