2019 Natty can we return?

This past Saturday the golf tournament was boring so I moved over to YouTube and dialed up the 2019 Natty versus the "best Alabama team ever." I had been wanting to watch it again as I had been feeling a bit low about the upcoming season. That team was laden with NFL talent and as you all know there are a bevy of those players on NFL rosters, many as starters. Once again I felt the absolute joy and elation watching that incredible performance. We were elite. But it made me wonder, as others here on tnet have mused, is it possible for us to ever reach that pinnacle again?

What with the NIL mess and abuses I can’t feel good about getting there. Can lil’ ole Clemson, as Dabo calls us, compete at the highest levels in the treacherous world of college football these days? My local paper in today’s Sunday edition ranked the ACC quarterbacks. Cade is ranked 6th behind GaTech, Miami, Fl St, and SMU among others. Will we ever have another generational QB? Generational wideouts?

Somebody make me feel better please. For some reason I just can’t but I want to.

Class of ‘71. Went through “rat season” and glad I did.

Go back 10 years up to this year and check out where Clemson class ranked in recruiting and you will see.
Clemson is still recruiting and signing players at or better than the classes for the last decade.
Clemson is a developmental program. Clemson football is in good hands.
