beat them 13-3 and put us on the map....DV was a human earthquake that day....my ears rung all the way home....honorable mention would be the '78 Chicken game when our D pounded G. Rogers all day and the '81 Chicken game where we finished up undefeated and our D hit them like lunatics all day long....

look you straight in the eye and tell you that wasn't a lateral......their athletic department fumed about that game for years afterwards....many felt that losing that game cost the 'holes a chance to move into the upper echelon of college football teams and that its cost them unto this day
BTW---I was there in chapelhole that day---it WAS a backwards pass and the win was great!!!! Nearly closed the Rathskellar down that night!!!!

You have to look around a bit, but most all of these games are on youtube. Some where even recorded on VHS tapes. To get by this wait for live football, watch as many as you can and decide for yourself. Some of the games mentioned in this thread featured incredible D and some great running backs. If you really want to understand CU football and why us old guys long for days gone by, this will do it. On the other hand, it looks like we are in for a resurgance of greatness with Dabo's recruiting and the coachinh of BV and the Chad.

'09 Florida State game. The whole stadium was singing We Will Rock You and the guitar solo was timed perfectly when the players walked back onto the field. Best experience at a football game yet.

06 GT, 03 FSU, 09 FSU are amony my faves due to my younger age as well. Honorable mentions for Aub and FSU last year. When Rennie Moore made the sack on Trickett to end their last ditch effort, I believe that that was the loudest I personally have ever heard it in the Valley. It was deafening and I got the chills from it.

Watch this video and you'll get the history of the rivalry (we need to beat them next time we play) and the great game. I was there. It was awesome.
Caveat - I was also there during the 1981 Georgia game and the 2000 coots game. Both huge, fun wins. But I would still take '87 as the one to live over again, because I was a student at the time.

A couple of tradition-rich programs with loyal, conservative fan bases. Made for great tailgating leading up to a nationally televised night game in the Valley.
I'll never forget the moments right after Jad Dean nailed the game-winner. Rivals FSU following DMC's INT of Ponder, 4th Q of Miami back in Gaines' heyday, and maybe GT on Gameday, aka Spiller's coming out party.

2003 FSU. Nobody gave us a chance to win that game. It was a cold November night game, and there was an eclipse that cause the moon to turn orangish red if I remember right. Number 3 ranked FSU had all the momentum and we were nobodies. I sat on the top row, but #### that was a fun game. Watching the field goal posts get torn down and carried out of the stadium was an image I will never forget.

It was the last Game my Dad attended. He found out the week before that he had terminal cancer . He was determined to go to 1 last game. He was a 1947 graduate of Clemson and had been a member of IPTAY ever since. Always had season tickets, went to bowl games, Raised my brothers and me to be tigers. When took tons of pictures since we knew that would be the last game he could attend. We won 35 - 14. It was a beautiful day!

Outcome was not what I wanted, was in notre dame section. Clemson was killing them at halftime, they were not very nice. bOUGHT TICKET FOR 20 RIght before game, a lot of money in I think 1977, not sure of year. I was 11th grade I think.
Gotta hand it to montanna, he brought them back.
either that or when another loss, to Va Tech about 4 years ago. I do not make it to death valley that much. Last game for my nephew, only time I saw him run down hill, senior day.
