Ok, so I've been dropping kids off at the same elementary school for, oh, about 10+ years now. Kind of used to how things work in this arena. For about 7 of those years a woman who worked in the school office directed traffic and manned the crosswalk in front of the school, directing kids across the walkway and directing traffic in the drop-off line. She lives down the street and is fairly hawt. And she did a good job.

About 2-3 years ago enter Mr. Deputy Dog. Barney Fife is now placed out front of the school. He spends EVERY DAY the next 2-3 years hitting up the lady who was directing the crosswalk traffic. It was cringeworthy. She's trying to do her job and this guy is chatting her up 24/7. She eventually just ignored him, but he'd keep chatting anyway.

Well, this year she's left the school. I wonder why? And this leaves Deputy Fife out there doing the job Ms. Soandso did for years. He holds people too long at the crosswalk, meaning traffic moves much faster in the car line these days. BUT, LEAVING the school, and taking that left is always tricky and traffic now backs up into the car line and beyond.

So WHY doesn't the school get another employee to handle the dropoff line and crosswalk (as in the past) while DEPUTY FIFE goes out in the road and directs #%@&%ng traffic!!!???

Ok, now that that's out of the way, anyone know a good Spanish interpreter?
