12 Team CFP Playoff Must Be Stopped

The ACC, Big 10, Big 12, AAC and Pac 12 all must work to stop a 12 team CFP.

The SEC, no doubt is behind the CFP expansion. With the addition of Texas and Oklahoma, they help the SEC develop the opportunity to have multiple members participating in the CFP.

They will gain more money, more prestige, enhance recruiting and increase the opportunity for a SEC National Champion with more CFP participants.

The only way to stop this is to limit the CFP to 4 teams.

Second, expanding the CFP is a foregone conclusion. It is absolutely going to happen. No ifs, ands, or butts about it. It's just a matter of when, not if.

The question now becomes, does the CFP expand to 8, 12 or 16 teams.

The SEC's snatching of UT and OU might push playoff expansion back to 2025 (and not sooner), but it still happens. Most likely to 12 teams. (IMO, still likely to happen prior to 2025).

Put that in the bank.
