$7.7 Million isn't the annual - it's the total over 4 years, with the first 3 guaranteed and the 4th the team option. For a 2nd round pick having 3 years guaranteed like that up front is an outlier it seems. Hopeful it's not back loaded and more even throughout. A great position to be in regardless. Really happy for him.
