Go ahead and stick your head in the sand but it would just be easier to take your bias against change and leave it at the door. The game is still about 11 on 11 with each team trying to either score or stop the other team from scoring. After the ball is kicked off, the game is still the great game it always has been.

I have been saying this for a while but college football is the new NASCAR. The apathy among people who were at one time huge fans is growing. I didn't watch college football hardly at all this past season after never missing a game for 20 years. Give it a little more time and even more will tune out. You can't alter a product so radically and just mark it up to "changing with the times" and expect people to keep watching.

I thought it was a good game...particularly the 4th quarter. I was surprised at what appeared to me to be so many Ohio State fans(red clothing)there. However, it didn't take long, being from the SC coast to once again remember how many Ohio folks have left there to come here. I am not being snarky...just understand that we don't want here to become like there!

Watched it just because I will watch any level
of football as long as it is competitive. Didn’t have any feelings one way or the other. Two teams that I don’t care if they ever win another game or not. But it was football.

But the semi-finals took a hit compared to last year.
Last year the semi-finals averaged 23.2M viewers
This year the semi-finals averaged 19.2M viewers (17% drop)
