He never said that. Even Snopes (leftist fact checking service) had to admit that the Normandy cemetery ‘suckers’ comment was attributed to Mark Kelly, who in turn reported that he heard it from some media outlet from which the media outlet had no source citation.
Kind of like another Russia hoax thing. Just made up BS that feces eating TDS’ers can’t get enough of.

But that's not to Jimmy's point, really. If Harris had done it, the howling here would be outlandish. Dumber than the Walz military service stuff which was dumb.
But if the family wants to pose with a man who has a record of disparaging veterans and calling them losers and suckers, that's their business.

False premise.
Trump’s plan never promised zero casualties. He negotiated the terms of our troops leaving Afghanistan, but leaving valuable Bagram airbase in our possession.
It was up to Harris / Biden admin to either execute the evacuation or to decide to not evacuate and strike down a Trump deed …just as they did with Yrump’s in-process border wall.
Harris / Biden admin put forth the brilliant plan to evacuate the soldiers before all of the civilians had been removed. Typical of the Democrats. Just plain stupid. Do stupid things, get stupid prizes.

One... Trump is flanked by SSGT Hoover's Mother, Father, Wife and children in that photo. Hoover's Mom is giving the same "thumbs up" gesture as Trump and most others in the photo. If they don't have a problem with it then no one else should either.
Two. Neither Joe Biden nor Kamala Harris showed up at that Arlington memorial service for those 13 dead service members. All of whom died in the execution of a mission that the Biden-Harris Administration sent them to execute. I guess their dedication to politics overrides their sense of obligation in their positions as the Commander in Chief and wanna be Commander in Chief. Apparently for Biden and Harris - the Commander in Chief "the buck stops here" responsibility ends when it might be a tad uncomfortable for them to actually come face to face with the consequences of their military orders.

Speculating that Trump supporters would behave like the Jack Axz Harris supporters did behave is pathetic. Speculation does not compare to fact.
As a committed TDS’er, you willingly embarrass yourself by equivocating speculation about possible bad behavior by Team Trump as = to actual bad behavior by Team Harris / Low-T.
Try being more respectful of yourself. That’ll be good for you.

Trump inherited the Afghanistan war. As president, he was besieged with seditious LawFare activities such as the Russia hoax and the Ukraine conversation in which he asked that Joe Biden’s behavior in & about Ukraine be investigated. Trump was kept so busy with contrived illegal plots against him that some presidential niceties could not be accommodated.
Harris / Biden were busy, too. While Biden was at the beach, Kamala was busy doing nothing.

not sure how many presidents have attended such funerals, but I’d say it is likely the exception rather than the rule. It’s really a bad look.

is that Arlington Cemetary has very strict rules based on how hallowed that ground is. Some parts more than others. In Section 60, in this case, photography is expressly forbidden by Arlington except for authorized personnel. Since this was a photo op, several of Trump's team got into a verbal altercation with the guard on duty when he told them they couldn't take pictures, and it got physical. Trump and team weren't taking "no" for an answer.
THAT is what will be summarily dismissed by MAGA in this specific event.

A full investigation should take place, and if it happened as described actions taken accordingly. Of course, what's most likely to happen is an investigation will take place, the allegations will be shown to be blown wildly out of proportion, and you guys will forget about it. That's pretty much been standard operating procedure for almost a decade now.

cancelled because someone wanted to name their team MAGA and several others got so butthurt about it they disbanded everything. TDS is rampant everywhere.
We only know there was an incident, we don't know the specifics of it. Of course, you take that to mean Trumps people attacked some innocent official. Trumps team is saying they had approval and video of the incident they're willing to release. We'll see. Some of the families have come out and said they approved the photos, now I don't know if they have the authority to give that approval or not, but history tells us this did not play out anything like the media is trying to convince us it did. It's wild people keep falling for it, particularly when NPR is the one breaking the story.

I see Trump as the only ‘civilian’ in the pic.
If I’m mistaken, then which one in the group is one of Trump’s aides or political allies?
BTW, Trump, as president, was Commander in Chief at the time.
Don’t try to tell me that the Commander in Chief, paying respects to (is this the tomb of the Unknown Soldier?) the heroes at Arlington, is doing anything disrespectful.

about outside the military. That something is being a casualty notification officer/NCO.
One of the things we learned from Vietnam was that notifying families of a military member death is something that should/must be done in person. The days of simply sending a telegram as in WWII have long passed.
At some point in almost every military officer's and NCO's career they will be put on a rotating roster to be a casualty notification officer. It is done by region where almost every military post/base is responsible for a US geographic region for notifications. Sometimes this can be as much as 500 miles from that particular installation. The military installations maintain a roster of designated military members 24/7/365 to handle the notification to any spouse, parent or loco-parentis family member of a service members death.
The way notifications work is that once a military members death occurs - combat our outside of combat - a person of equal or greater rank is designated to notify the immediate family members. If the soldier that dies is married and has parents - it would require separate notification officers/NCOs for each of those immediate members. Sometimes this could be in as many as 3 different States from East coast to West coast. In some situations you could have the spouse living in the State of the deceased service member's military installation and a set of divorced parents living in two other States from as far as California to Maine. It all has to be carefully coordinated so that all the notifications occur at roughly the same time.
This is why in many cases the news will report military members killed in some incident but not release the names - it takes a little time to get the in-person notifications done. The last thing the DoD wants is for immediate family members to first find out their loved one is dead through a news broadcast.
I was on such casualty notification rosters several times in my career - normally for a six month period. Each time before assuming duty on those rosters each potential notification officer/NCO had to go through training. Let me tell you - that is some of the most heart wrenching, emotionally draining training I ever went through. I can't think of a more difficult task than showing up in our dress uniform, knocking on a spouses door and telling them their loved one is dead.
Your job as a notification officer is to deliver the worst news a family member can ever receive. That is why a casualty notification officer/NCO will NEVER be the same person as the casualty assistance officer/NCO that is assigned to these family members and contacts the families shortly after notification.
Luckily I never got the call to make a notification. I do know plenty of guys that did. They told me it was emotionally the hardest thing they had ever had to do. Some even said it was more agonizing than combat itself. Trying to keep it together when telling the spouse, mother, or father that their husband/wife or child was dead was beyond "hard". Many times the family member would scream, lash out at them, or fall to pieces right in front of them.
Keep in mind that each of these 13 service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice had family members experience those notifications. We sometimes lose perspective in our political discourse and quickly choose a side on things. But as I look at that picture, or when I see other pictures from Arlington of families visiting a grave site, I'm reminded of the sadness and un-fillable hole left in the hearts of these families. I'm also reminded that some officer or NCO had the unenviable, but honorable task of telling these families that their family member was no longer with us.

anybody with a soul. Glad you never got called on to do it.
Not that Vedder knows anything about it firsthand, but it's still pretty haunting.

Unsealed, on a porch a letter sat Then you said, "I wanna leave it again" Once I saw her on a beach of weathered sand And on the sand I wanna leave her again
On a weekend I wanna wish it all away, yeah And they called and I said that I'll go And I said that I'll call out again And the reason I ought ta leave her calm, I know I said, "I don't know whether I'm the boxer or the bag"
Oh yeah, can you see them, out on the porch? Yeah, but they don't wave I see them 'round the front way, yeah And I know, and I know I don't wanna stay
Make me cry
I see oh, I don't know why there's something else I want to, wanna drum it all away I said, "I don't, I don't know whether I was the boxer or the bag"
Oh yeah, can you see them, out the on porch? Yeah, but they don't wave I see them 'round the front way And I know, and I know I don't want to stay at all I don't want to stay I don't want to stay I don't want to stay I don't, I don't want to stay

Likely she wasn’t invited.
She likely would have been relieved to not be invited. Some reporter might have asked her a question.
