I don't see the Tiger with the wagging tail and scary eyes that light up on top of the scoreboard.

Give me a patch of grass and my boiled pnuts and a scoreboard that shows a clock and the score. Not a fan of those big video boards. Just a distraction... And I sure as heck don't go to the games to listen to music blaring some stupid song. If I want blaring music then I'll go to a concert. Hate to see the Tiger removed and from the looks of it, no more grass or sitting on the hill. Some things just don't need changes.

It's up there but looks lost as all get out on that enormous board. Good luck seeing it. Probably best if they moved it to a more prominent spot over one of the smaller video boards in the Westzone.

The old tiger on top of the scoreboard

Wagged it’s tail and the eyes lit up when I was a student in the 70s and I loved it! BUT it just looks silly on top of the current scoreboard and will look even more ridiculous on top of the new one, which I believe I read is 5 times the size of the current one. Time to place the old tiger in a place of honor in the display cases and come up with something more current and appropriate for the new scoreboard.

The poor tail-wagging tiger if finally gone?

Maybe it became know that his name was Calhoun or Tillman.
Hey BTW- did anybody who went to Auburn in '15 enjoy sitting in the end zone opposite that huge eyesore?
Me neither. I still have after images burned in my eyes from it.

Different at all. Thanks for pointing out which was which. That's a lot of money for very little. Reminds me of the Littlejohn deal that went from being a new Coliseum to a complete downgrade in every way. What has Radokovich done at Clemson? Dabo was already off and rolling when Radokovich jumped on for the ride. When I look at what other schools are doing, it is astonishing. And their aesthetics always seem better than ours even in the original proposals that eventially inevitably get downgraded. I guess wrought Iron is very expensive.

You have to blow up the image but I can see it dead center above the new screen.

Wonder what happen to the original renovations...

from 2019 that were talked about being done because what the renovations look like now outside the East Endzone compared to what they looked like 2 years ago are nothing alike. To me the East Endzone renovations from 2019 look much nicer than what is being talked about now...

They wiped them out. They are not doing them. They did

not postpone them, they cancelled them. Honestly, thpse plans did not look good. They reaally were lacking, but at least they were something. They cut the entire project form 68 mil to 65 mil and the new seating and facade in the east ( if you could call it a facade, looked more like blinds covering a bleacher set) were dropped.

Disappointed that they scratched the East Stands addition. Hope they will add those seats one day. That would help keep the noise in the stadium!

The BOT knows where the money comes from so the tail wags the dog. We do everything in a first rate manner and I am sure these improvements will be nice. Since just a few days ago the results of the Director's Cup standings show us as the 8th best ACC school, I hope some improvements will be coming in sports other than football.

I have to give DR credit. After completely botching up the cancellation of men’s cross-country and track to save $2M, he gets Clemson sued for Title IX, settles by adding more costs to non revenue sports, adds two more non-revenue female sports, and the xc men’s team back. Total cost of this adventure in mismanagement: likely the cost to downscope the improvements to DV.
This guy is a great fundraiser and an awful manager.

It wasn't just the $2 million/year, but still.
Would you give up all our success under Dabo Swinney to go back to not spending money on facilities? It's been the cornerstone of his plan and it's worked incredibly well. Maybe the most important thing Coach Swinney brought here from Alabama was convincing donors to invest in modern facilities & beyond.
I get that not everyone is OK with that, & I understand & respect that take, but IMO it's been worth it. I'm not sure where we'd be without those changes, but I don't think it's unfair to say we wouldn't be nearly as successful.
