What’s going on with kicks!? I understand that the fg attempt was a low kick but even ko coverage was bad on the opening kick. Has coach said anything about fixing it! $hit on Pitt! Go Tigers!

Special teams play has been a problem for us for years now. No one is addressing it, and recent failures have exposed that. We lost the SC game at home two years ago largely due to poor special teams play (and Streeter abandoning the run in the second half for some inexplicable reason). We likely lost the Louisville game this year because of special teams, even given all the other problems.
I’m amazed at how many college coaches ignore this phase of the game. Bobby Bowden surely lost one and perhaps two national championships due to his ignoring special teams. I would love to see us fix this problem, but history says we won’t.

we lost the 2015 CFP because our ST methodology is based on
Neglect and the absence of legit ST prep..and by God we remain dedicated and have the utmost faith in our ST system. Now G D it move on and quit stirring up the pot!
