Former Clemson LB gets high school jersey retired |
Linebacker B.J. Goodson has been a big contributor for the Giants since being picked in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Before his pro days, he was a key cog in several of Clemson's tough defenses and before that, he learned his craft playing high school football for the Lamar Silver Foxes. On Friday, Goodson was able to go home to Lamar, S.C. and relish watching his high school jersey being retired. "It's a blessing and being part of the Lamar tradition and being able to hang my number up in the rafters with those guys, Goodson told the media Friday. At Lamar, Goodson had 156 tackles as a senior and registered 96 tackles and six tackles for loss and added 16 receptions for 220 yards and two touchdowns as a junior.
