Swinney updates Watson's injury

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney said to ESPN at his halftime interview that Watson has a "broken finger" on his right hand and will not return to the game.

According to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons website, a splint on a fractured finger is worn for about 3 weeks. You may need more x-rays over this time so that your doctor can monitor the progress of your finger as it heals. Depending on the type and severity of the fracture, you may need surgery to put the bones into alignment.

Watson's stats were 2 for 6 for -5 passing yards and also had 10 yards rushing.
