Swinney updates Cade Klubnik's injury |
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney spoke with the ACC Network following his team’s dominant 41-10 road victory over Boston College on Saturday night.
During the postgame interview, Swinney provided an update on starting quarterback Cade Klubnik, who exited late in the third quarter with an injury. “He was trying to come back in there. It was his ankle,” Swinney said. “We just held him. We were going to see how it was. He was trying to get back in there, but we just decided to hold him.” Swinney also shared during his postgame press conference that Klubnik was already battling a sore ankle before the injury. “He’s been kind of nursing a little bit of a sore ankle," Swinney said. Before leaving, the veteran quarterback completed 22 of 33 passes for 280 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He also had nine rushes for 48 yards and a rushing score.
