Michael Wade has recently popped up on Clemson's radar. The staff has been evaluating Wade very closely. David Blackwell paid a visit to the school last week to meet with Wade.
"Coach Blackwell came by the school to visit with me. He said they are evaluating me against one other quarterback." Duke has already offered Wade and several others are showing interest. Clemson is currently evaluating Wade against Spartanburg's Nick Prochak. We give the edge to Wade, because he is more of a quarterback than Prochak. Wade has strong ties to Clemson. His father, Mike Wade, was a member of the 1981 National Championship team. Wade still attends all Clemson home games. "It would be great if Clemson offered. Clemson has the perfect situation. It does not get any better than Clemson. The campus, academics, and the direction of the football program are all ideal for me." It is possible Clemson could offer Wade before the end of the month. If Wade receives an offer, it would be likely that he would make an early commitment to the Tigers.
