Height: 5-9 Weight: 175 Hometown: West Palm Beach, FL (Fork Union HS) Class: 2006
When Jacoby Ford signed with Clemson, he became the fastest man on campus. Ford has been clocked sub-4.3 on more than one occasion. He has tremendous speed that Clemson will put to use.
The Tigers will gameplan with Ford much like what Miami did with Santana Moss and Devin Hester. Ford will touch the ball in a variety of ways. His most immediate impact will be on special teams. At the opening of spring practice, Ford is the first team kick and punt returner. The coaching staff hopes he adds an element that was missing after Justin Miller went to the NFL. Ford in his first season could quickly become one of the most dangerous return men in the ACC. He will also see action at wide receiver. With his speed and agility, offensive coordinator Rob Spence will have a new toy to play with in his offense. Spence never lacks for creativity in his offense, and Ford certainly will provide him with some opportunities. Freshman Forecast: 2nd Team Wide Receiver
