One of the most frequently asked questions in recruiting is who may be a sleeper. With recruiting being so publicized now, there is really only one thing that allows a player to be a sleeper, injuries.
Glenn Coffee is a talented back who has been riddled with injuries his whole high school career. This summer he was 100% for the first time since he was a freshman. "At the Nike camp, I was able to get my name out there a little. I earned two MVP honors. I had the highest spark rating in the workout drills. I earned MVP in the 7 on 7 as well." Coffee benched pressed 185 lbs. 22 times, ran a 4.44 forty, and had a vertical leap of 36 inches. Coffee is receiving a lot of interest from several southern schools. Along with the Nike camp, he attended camps at LSU and Florida. "At Florida, the coaching staff impressed me a lot. LSU's coaches showed a tremendous focus on the academic side of things." Practice starts on Monday for Fort Walton, and Coffee is looking forward to being on the field just hopes the weather changes. "The heat index has been over a 100 the past two days, so I hope we catch a break with the weather." Coffee is an all-purpose back with good field vision. This season he just hopes to stay healthy and have the breakout season, that he has been looking for.
