According to ESPN article:
Offensive Line 6-3, 285 Maryville, TN View Full Profile (Maryville, Tenn./Maryville) is the definition of old school. At 6-foot-3, 292 pounds, it's not shocking that Guillermo loves to spend time in the weight room. But that's just a warmup for the real workout that this Clemson commit likes to get in each day. "Once I get done with the weights that's when the fun begins," Guillermo said. "I love to flip the tires around for a bit and then we've got an old wooden sled that I like to push around for a while. "From there I actually do a little conditioning with the wrestling team. I like to run with those guys for a bit and maybe I'll do some live wrestling because all that can get you in condition quickly." Jay Guillermo committed early to Clemson, where he has built a bond with new O-line coach Robbie Caldwell. The tire-flipping and extra running all speaks to a work ethic that's is at the center of this center's life. It's a work ethic that was instilled in him by his grandfather, Ron Greene, a former football coach of 36 years. While most prospective football players in Greene's program started working out with the varsity players in eighth grade, Guillermo was in there in sixth grade, learning lifting techniques and flipping tires, of course. "Them tires make you a man, that's what my grandfather used to say," Guillermo said. "I'd be there flipping those big tires and he'd say, 'Boy, that's what's gonna make you a man."
