Clemson offered a 5-star receiver who made his first trip to Death Valley Saturday for Clemson-Auburn.
Rated the nation's No. 1 2019 wide receiver, Jadon Haselwood picked up the Clemson offer on a gameday where the stars were out in terms of visiting Tiger targets and commits, including future 5-star Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Haselwood told TigerNet Clemson has targeted him a "great fit" for the X-receiver or '2-man' role in Clemson's offense, where Ray Ray McCloud currently starts and Artavis Scott played last season. Had a good time at Clemson yesterday and I also received an offer ?? #We2deep19 pic.twitter.com/7lF6qyN73E The Ellenwood, Georgia product committed to the Georgia Bulldogs in March and has been offered by Auburn since. Alabama, Southern Cal, Florida State among more schools nationwide have offered already. The 6-foot-3 target is already slated for the 2019 US Army All-American Bowl. As a sophomore, Haselwood took all-state honors and was named preseason 3A all-state at safety as well by the Atlanta-Journal Constitution. "Cedar Grove’s Jadon Haselwood has the most impact," the AJC's preseason writeup said. "He’s the consensus No. 1 WR recruit nationally among juniors but also a vicious-hitting strong safety who reads and reacts well to offenses. And he returned three punts for touchdowns for a state-championship team last year."
