Four-star wide receiver Amari Rodgers of Knoxville (TN) Catholic has signed his NFL on Wednesday morning confirmed by TigerNet.
He had national offers from Alabama, California, Clemson, Florida State, Tennessee, USC, Middle Tennessee State, Ohio, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Duke and LSU. Rodgers, who committed to USC last summer, helped Catholic win the state championship last fall 48-4 over Pearl-Cohn in which he had an 82-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, a 43-yard scoring reception and an interception. Clemson wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott offered Rodgers in early December. Rodgers, the son of USC staffer and former Tennessee quarterback Tee Martin, then set up a Clemson visit on Jan. 30. Rodgers won the Class 4A Mr. Football Back of the Year as a junior with 2511 all-purpose yards and scored 31 total touchdowns including 1600 receiving yards with 23 receiving touchdowns, two punt returns for touchdowns, two kickoff return touchdowns, three rushing touchdowns and an interception return for a touchdown.
