4-star 2017 defensive back
LeAnthony Williams plans to announce on Monday around 3:30 to 4 pm EST according to sources close with the recruitment of Williams.
The 6-0, 175-pound defensive back made a trip to Clemson back in January with his family and was impressed with what he saw. “The coaches were showing all their love, and it was great talking to Coach (Mike) Reed and Coach (Dabo) Swinney and Coach (Tony) Elliott,” he said. “They are considering me really big as an athlete but want me to take my time and make sure everything is right. It was great being a part of the photo shoot and getting to know Clemson better. They meet all of my requirements for a major. They are a great fit for me.” Williams is ranked No. 186 in the ESPN Jr. 300 and holds 20 offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. "It's just them (Clemson) showing so much love throughout the recruiting process, and they put an emphasis on the family situation. They want you to be able to feel comfortable at the university.” Decision coming very soon. pic.twitter.com/qPUH4xJQNb 2017 4 star CB @LWilliams_4 tripped to #Clemson over the weekend pic.twitter.com/7kWTmidYiC Great day in Clemson yesterday @i_dareU_4life @_CoreyReedJr @mckinney_xavier @LWilliams_4 @fThemanford21 pic.twitter.com/g8cs5fz2ja
