Former Clemson LB returning to Saints

by -

Stephone Anthony is headed back to New Orleans, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported on Wednesday.

Anthony was selected with the Saints' 31st pick in the first round of the 2015 NFL draft and totaled 112 stops with a sack and interception in his rookie season. Injury hampered his final two seasons with New Orleans before being traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2017. He saw action in 24 games with the Dolphins over two seasons before short stints with the Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets earlier this year.

Anthony was a 5-star prospect out of high school who earned first-team All-ACC honors as a senior at Clemson, totaling a team-best 90 stops, 10.5 for loss, with 2.5 sacks, 11 QB pressures, four pass breakups and an interception.
