Former Clemson defensive end Kourtnei Brown was waived over the weekend according to team officials.

The Texans signed running back Akeem Hunt from their practice squad and had to waive Brown to make room on the active roster.

Brown had an impressive preseason leading the Texans with three sacks and also had an interception return for a touchdown.

He was an un-drafted free agent in 2012.
